Welcome to Femalebattle.net! This site was launched in November, 2003 to inspire,
inform, educate and empower women on life and its daily challenges.
It will serve as an avenue for support regarding various issues
women face today. We aim to give out information and inspiration to all women on the basic issues they face everyday. Experience has always been the best teacher. Through the sharing of experiences and ideas, we become aware of the occurrences in the life of other women especially on issues of domestic violence, parenting and relationships. We wish to encourage women out there to join us by sharing your own personal experiences and learn from others too. We all have stories to tell and we'd be glad to hear from you. We likewise wish to know your comments and suggestions on how we can further improve this site.
It is with great pleasure and honor that I congratulate the prime movers behind Femalebattle.net for launching a website that would focus on relevant issues affecting women today. I am confident that Femalebattle.net will promote ideas, impart knowledge, and promote the Filipina view on life and its daily challenges. I am likewise hopeful that soon, Filipino women would have ready access to issues that are usually not discussed in the open, such as legal aid and advice on matters concerning spousal abuse and sexual harassment, through your website. It is my fervent wish that Femalebattle.net will succeed in its noble objectives. Mabuhay po kayo!
I am extending my warmest greetings to Femalebattle.net for its newly-launched online magazine and resource center for women. I am confident that in our society today where electronic information is proven to be an effective and efficient means of communication, Femalebattle.net will be able to reach out to more Filipino women who need information and support regarding parenting, home making, health, career, and other significant women's issues such as violence and abuse against women. I sincerely believe that awareness and education is the key to women empowerment and the best weapon against abuse and exploitation. As an advocate of the promotion of women's rights and welfare, I have always been supportive of various initiatives towards the realization and of a gender-sensitive community. As a legislator, I have authored several measures that seek to promote the welfare of women. Including Republic Act 9208, otherwise known as the "Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003". It is my fervent commitment to provide the Filipino women with the protection they need and with the avenues that will enable them to enhance their participation in the development and progress not only of their families but of the nation as well. I believe that Femalebattle.net is among our dedicated allies in this endeavor. Congratulations to Femalebattle.net for taking on the challenge to be the voice of the Filipino women and I pray that you will continue to encourage and inspire our women.
